I just finished watching one of my favorite movies of the year.. ” Confessions of a Shopaholic.” I know that many of you probably also enjoyed this movie and some (like myself) may have been able to even relate. I could definitly see myself in Rebecca Bloomwood. Not just in the over whelming feeling she would get when she would purchase something, but also in the way she recognized her problem, and knew she had to do something about it. Like I have stated in many of my other posts, you don’t have to spend a ridiculous amount of money on something for it to make sense in your wardrobe, nor to feel good. Sometimes you have the purge yourself of your wardrobe and start over to see exactly what you have.
I not only did this over the summer, but I ran in to “love” also, just as Rebecca did. She didn’t expect to walk in to the office of the next man she would love, only to discover that he would be just what she needed. He could speak ” Prada,” just the language she spoke. And I too found a man that could speak my language. Didn’t expect it, but itsn’t that how it happens? Right, when you stop looking it falls in to your lap. It is up to you to recognize it and know that it is your answer. Rebecca’s answer was working for Successful Savings Magazine, she didn’t know it. She thought that it would simply be her yellow brick road to Allete Magazine, which is where she always wanted to be.. only to find out that it wasn’t where she needed to be.
This is what Love and Style have in common. Everyone is capable of having both..but if you don’t recognize it when you see it you might just miss it totatlly. If you don’t know love when you see it will Love someone else, and if you don’t recongize that you have your own Style then you will continue to think that you don’t have any. Don’t base Love or Style off of what society says it is.. because just as I discovered, both can be right in front of you the whole time.. Open you closet and purge.. make room to see what you really need…to improve your Life..Style..
